We are proud to introduce the newest member of the Mughal Law Firm team, Mario La Tona. Attorney La Tona is a bright and ambitious lawyer who is dedicated to our clients’ success. As an intern, he worked diligently on our clients’ immigration cases and managed our clients’ criminal and traffic cases. He is now ready to serve our clients with the guidance and training that he has received from years of hard work.
Background
Attorney La Tona was born in Michigan to Italian immigrants. He was raised to be a hard worker and to put other people’s needs before his own. As a child, he always wanted to be a lawyer representing clients in criminal cases. Driven by the desire to advocate for the accused, he focused his studies on English and rhetoric to learn how to argue and negotiate. He has worked in politics for both the government and private sector, and as a volunteer for the Mid Atlantic Innocence Project, where he pursued claims of actual innocence and clemency for juvenile inmates in federal prison. His background qualifies him as an excellent addition to the team and we are excited to have him on board.
Education
After coming to the DC metro area, Attorney La Tona studied hard by day and worked harder by night. He achieved success in undergraduate studies at the Catholic University of America despite working 32 hours a week as a server and bartender to pay for his schooling. He graduated with honors in the school of international relations and philosophy before promptly turning his attention to law school. While studying for his J.D. at the Columbus School of Law, Attorney La Tona took advantage of the experience by picking his professor brains after class and going above and beyond to get practical training. He has enjoyed numerous internships, including at our office, to give him the experience he needs to represent our clients’ interest. Further, he is an excellent advocate who has competed against the best of his peers in national trial competitions. We are certain that Attorney La Tona has the passion and knowledge to pursue all of our clients’ needs.
